FONTANA FAMOUS PIZZA AND GYRO FIRST OPENED ITS DOORS IN 1982


Two cousins came from Greece with the idea of bringing part of their food culture to Bayside/Flushing. We can confidently say that we set the trend for fast-Greek food in the area. From our hand stacked gyros to our hand-cut and hand-skewered souvlaki/chicken souvlaki to our pizza dough/pizza sauce. All preparation is done on premises which is often unheard of in this day and age.

A cozy, warm feel is what one can expect when dining in from the greetings of the staff to the old-school styled atmosphere. We are a family-run business and the saying “Quality over Quantity” means a lot to us. Consistency is key and any longtime customer can say that our food tastes just as it did since we first went into business.

Another saying that we like to go by is that “The greatest asset of a company is its people” and we could not agree more with this!

We treat our employees like family which is why many of them have been with us for many years, with a few of them being with us from the start. To say the least, we appreciate their hard work.

To our customers without you, none of this would have been possible. You gave a couple of immigrants the chance to succeed and make something out of themselves. We greatly appreciate your patronage and loyalty and for this, we thank you. It is now our job to continue their legacy. Cheers to another forty years!
